Welcome to Reinventing the Tattoo. That’s the name that I’ve been using for my various teaching
endeavors through the years. By this point in tattoo history, the tattoo has
really been reinvented. I mean it is not what it was 30 years ago when I came
into this industry but we’re continually in the process of rediscovering what we
can do. What the limits are. And I think one of the things we’re finding is… you
know, obviously the skin has its limits… tattoo technique has its limits… but when
it comes to design and our understanding of what we can get away with on the body, that’s something that’s always evolving. and so I’m going to go into ten
different points. Five of them are design and five of them are technical.
Tthis is by no means any kind of comprehensive look at tattooing but I
figure this is this is just sort of a way of lightly skimming over some of
these things that I’ve personally been sort of obsessing over since I started
teaching seminars twenty-five years ago.
