That’s a big tattoo. You’re going
full color today, huh? – Yes, I am. I figure if I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna go
ahead and do it big.Winning this tattoo takes
my career to the next level,

the future for my family. – Do you have a full-color
reference for that, or are you just
winging it from your mind? – It’s all from here.
I believe that the true mark of an artist can
actually create his work.I’ve been working
towards competing at this
caliber for the last 18 years. – That spot over there hurts. – I really need you
to just stay still, though. – Turn the other way?
– No, I need you to stay still, okay?
– Okay, okay. – It’s real important.
– Yeah. – I mean, we gotta get
our lines clean, and they’re gonna
be shaky and nasty if you keep moving around,
okay? – Okay, no, I don’t–okay.
– As a father with
a young daughter

a terrifying thing to thinkabout not having
your children.

the more realistic route.I’m doing stone and marble,
so I need to make sure that it
looks old and cracked
and likethere’s little holes and
porous moments to the stone.
– Whoa, you’re movin’.
– Yeah. I’m gonna do all the smooth
blacks just to get it done, and then at the end I’m gonna
go in and texturize everything.I’m a very versatile artist, and I’m not scared
of a challenge like this.♪ ♪– You have four hours left.
Four hours.♪ ♪– You almost done
with the line work? – Yeah.

– Trying to. – Focus on your breath.
Just make sure you’re breathing in and out. The more oxygen you have in
your body, the more health you’re
gonna have with these areas. – Breath in.
– Yeah. – All right, let it out.The only thing that’s
affecting me in this tattoo
is the fact
that she can’t sit still. – Crap. – This is, like,
the worst possible thing to happen on a face-off
day for a tattooer, you know, is to have a canvas
that really… Simply just can’t take it. – Ooh. I know this is
a pain in the ass, but I’m gonna have
to stop pretty quick. I think I’m gonna be sick. I’m, like,
shaking so bad, yeah. – I could be defeated
before I even finish my tattoo.♪ ♪

  1. They should make sure these people have have at least like 5 tattoos and sat for a good amount of time before they bring them on

  2. as an Oklahoma native myself, i say kudos to the artist trying his best but it would help if they test these people for meth before tatting them. You can plainly see that woman was high on some ice. I'm not judging but its true. What the lady has had to go through is maybe the reason for the drug use but you can plainly see that was the problem. I will honestly never forget where I was when the bomb went off at the Murrah building that morning. It still gets to me a lot. I guess it always will. Bless the survivors and the people who lost their loved ones.

  3. Ya . make sure the skins can sit for the whole time .. I've seen enough of the Bullshit ppl who want beautiful tatts but can't earn yhem by sittimh through pain .😫

  4. I dislike seeing artists hate on their clients, when they can't stay still. It really hurts. Some people can't take it. Be decent to them and understanding. For some it just tickles. For others it's like being stabbed a thousand times a minute. Which they are.
