I’m Tally Lale, born in 1984. A lot of people ask me where my name comes from Telly is a short form of my last name… …Lale is a nickname that my mother gave me. My passion for dance started when I was just 3-4 years old. In 1997, I was 12 years old… …I studied dance at the Bucharest Opera. Which had a fairly big impact on me. The city still suffered from the regime that only just had fallen. Classical dance is a tough world… …and was even tougher in Bucharest which was a very different world from Milan. At 22 years I had my first experience… …with the world of Burlesque performance… …with Sick Girls, because they wasn’t interested only with photograpy.. ..they were doing a Burlesque show… …and were looking for someone experienced in classical dance. For me Burlesque was a continuation of my dancing career. In 2008 I met erotic cartoonist Giovanna Casotto posing for one of her photographic projects themed ‘40s-‘50s women fashion. I last worked with her in 2011 I kept the artistic direction of one his mini show… …about her cartoon characters ‘La Cocca’, the protagonist of this show. I created a Burlesque choreography intending to bring this subject to life. One of my most significant collaborations.. ..was with photographer Stefania Villani …who besides being a dear friend is a very talented artist. There immediately was a strong connection between us so we’ve often been working together since. I posed for her BOKE project in which she worked to bring together… ..her most characteristic styles as an artist. I have a good relationship with my body The great thing about our bodies is.. ..that every person can transform theirs in any way they desire. Not every tattoo has a specific meaning often it’s significance is to the tattooist. One of my most visible tattoos is on my chest… ..was done by Clode the Ripper.. ..who is an important person to me. Nearly almost all of my left arm.. ..was done by Luigi Stopar and his lovely girlfriend LaMiss. in addition to the tattoo’s significance there is also a story behind.. …about the strong friendship with these people. The body arts are a way to express one’s inner self I love tattoos because they’re things of beauty that stay with you forever. To me a tattoo is like a dress that you always wear and will always belong to you What could ever be better than that?
